Why are we doing this?

Sexual health means different things to different people, and it can include topics like:

    *Puberty and body changes

    *Relationships and sexuality

    *Periods and contraception

    *Preventing unplanned pregnancies

    *Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

We want to make sure that everyone has the information and the support they need, and that services work for young people in remote, rural and urban areas.

    Our goals are:

*understand the barriers young people face in accessing sexual health services

*identify gaps in education and support

*find new ways to improve services and reduce inequalities

    How can I get involved?

    1. Online Survey: have your say

We want to hear directly  from young people aged 13 to 25 years old about your thoughts, experiences, and ideas on sexual health and related services in your area.

Your responses are anonymous and will help us:

*understand what's working and what isn't

*identify what support and information you'd like to see

*shape future improvements in NHS Highland's sexual health services

    2. Youth organisation Grants: Supporting local voices

We're offering small grants to youth organsiations and community groups to help them:

*engage young people in conversations about sexual health

*identify their specific needs and challenges

*share feedback and ideas with NHS Highland

These grants are designed to help local groups lead their own engagement activities and ensure that young people's voices are heard, especially in remote and rural communities.

    What happens next?

This phase builds on the first part of our assessment, which reviewed the current research and existing services. By combining that with what you tell us, we'll develop new recommendations and strategies to improve sexual health services across NHS Highland.

Together we can make sexual health services more accessible, inclusive, and relevant for all young people.
