👋🏼 Welcome to The Parent Hub

We are delighted you are here and would love you to take a look about and to share your thoughts and ideas using the various interactive tools below.

This really is your page and we would like you to help us design it so that it provides the information you need whilst offering you the chance to have your suggestions and ideas heard by our team. Your role is a vital one and we understand that the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents and carers. Therefore, we know that we need to improve how we communicate with you as well as hear what you have to say so that we can work together to improve the health of children and adolescents in Highland.

🎯 Our aim for this page

  • Provide an easy to use space where we can hear from you, and learn what you need from us.
  • Make this the place you can come to for reliable information and support you might need.
  • Work with parents and carers to improve the health of all children and young people in Highland.

Three images in a row, including a notepad and pen, a house made of building bricks and children playing outdoors.

🧿 The vision of Planet Youth Highland is that all young people are:

  • active
  • healthy and happy
  • connected to their families and communities
  • and achieving their full potential.

👩🏾‍🤝‍🧑🏼 We can't do this without you!

This is not just a website. This is an interactive page. The various interactive elements are:

  • The Forum - where you can chat with each other, offer support and feedback on raising children and adolescents.
  • What is your idea? The ideas page is where you can let us know your thoughts and suggestions
  • Map of what is available in your area - this is in it's infancy - we would like you to add to it. What is available in your local community or village?

📣 We would love for you to subscribe to the page, this will then keep you notified when we add new information to the hub.

Every child and young person deserves safe relationships, strong communities, good health, quality sleep, positive school experiences, and opportunities to belong and succeed.

Too often, systems become focused on reacting when problems reach crisis point. Planet Youth in Scotland provides a proven model that helps us to move upstream, enabling meaningful prevention grounded in robust data and place-based principles, to build the foundations for all young people.

By taking this approach, we can support communities to shift the culture, systems and social norms that shape outcomes, creating lasting change for generations to come.

Scotland already has many strengths. Planet Youth offers a structured way to bring these together, aligning efforts and accelerating the shift towards a truly prevention-focused system.
