Green Health Grants scheme announced for Badenoch and Strathspey

The Highland Health Board Endowment Fund Charity (SC016791) is pleased to announce investment of £60,000 for the delivery a Green Health Grants scheme for Badenoch and Strathspey.

The funding will support community-led activity that helps to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing and build community resilience through engagement with, and appreciation of, the natural environment.

There is a strong focus for this funding around the promotion of equality, inclusion, and fairness by reducing barriers to participation. There is also an emphasis on developing and supporting sustainable outcomes and benefits for individuals and communities.

The first phase of this funding is for small grants of £500-£5000 (to a maximum fund level of £25,000). The second phase will be informed by a review of the first and is intended to be smaller numbers of larger grants.
