What We Are Asking You About

    2. Adult Social Care We are proposing to stop the Enhanced Extra Care model at Lorne Campbell Court in Campbeltown

    3. New Non‑Residential Care Charges We may bring in new charges or change current charges to help make services more affordable in the long term.

    4. Social Work Staffing We plan to remove 9 social work vacancies.

    5. Day Services We are reviewing Day Services. Options may include the following but we must speak to you about your ideas for care too

    • Closing some services
    • Making services more affordable
    • Changing services in some areas only

    6. Care Packages for Adults with Long‑Term Complex Needs. We may need to reduce some care packages for adults with lifelong complex conditions.

You can read the full proposal here: (add link). Each section of this consultation gives more detail to help you give your views.

We are also working on long-term changes to make services better and more efficient. These changes will take time and will be made together with communities.(Add link here.)

Find out how our current budget is spent. Some parts of the budget are ringfenced, which means the money must only be used for certain services. These services cannot have their funding reduced.

    How will we consult?

    • We will use this online engagement hub as the main place to share information and answer questions. This will run from 29 January to 12 March (Day Services will be longer).
    • We will share the dates for in‑person community conversations and an online session.
    • We will speak with staff and ask for their professional views on how to keep services safe and effective.
    • We will include carers and care providers in the consultation.
    • We will also ask for your feedback through a questionnaire, and you can ask us questions directly on this site.

What will we do with your feedback?

    • Your feedback will help us complete the Integrated Impact Assessment. This assessment looks at how our plans might affect people in Argyll & Bute and helps us understand any risks.
    • Your views will help shape the IJB (Integration Joint Board) decision on the budget. Your feedback may change parts of the proposals.
    • We will report your feedback to the Integration Joint Board.
    • At the end of the consultation, we will publish three documents:
      • The Integrated Impact Assessments
      • The budget proposal
      • A final consultation report

    How will we update you?

    • The results of the engagement, the impact assessment, and the budget proposal will be presented at the Integrated Joint Board (IJB) public meeting on 25 March 2026.
