We want the Engagement Hub to be a safe and welcoming space for everyone. We invite people to register and join our online community and to actively take part in the projects, discussions and activities that are available on this site.
The Engagement Hub provides a range of different opportunities for you to find out about, have a say on, get involved in and help design, which will inform how we plan and deliver health and care services for the Highlands and Argyll and Bute.
It enables you to engage on the things you are interested in, at a time, place and way that works best for you.
You do not need to register to take a look around the site and the featured projects. However you will not be able to take part in all of the engagement opportunities, as an unregistered visitor.
Registration makes you part of our online engagement community and gives you a say on developments and programs that are important or of interest to you.
By registering with the Engagement Hub you can:
Receive updates and stay informed on the things you want to
Become part of this online community
Get involved with, comment on, and follow all of the projects you are interested in
Help us get more accurate information about peoples views, experiences and ideas, so we can make better choices and decisions on the provision of health and care services that may affect you or your community

Suggested Etiquette
The following are not enforceable rules, rather they are suggestions about etiquette to help keep the website respectful and constructive.
It's a good idea to read through the information on the site and the other participant comments before getting involved in the discussion yourself.
Always respect the views of other participants even if they don't agree with you.
Be constructive. It's okay to disagree with other forum participants, in fact we encourage debate, just keep the dialogue positive.
Always keep things civil. We recognize that this can be difficult sometimes, especially when you are passionate about an issue, but it is important to keep the discussion focused on the issues rather than letting it deteriorate into personal insults.
Once you've left your comment keep an eye on the project to see what other people have to say.
If you feel that someone has insulted you, report their comment to the moderator by clicking the “Alert Moderator” button. Don't perpetuate the dispute. The moderator will take a look at the offending comment and decide whether it should be removed.
Stay on topic. The projects on this website have been created for a specific purpose. Please stay within the boundaries of the subject matter.
Turn off the "CAPS LOCK". Writing in ALL CAPS is the equivalent of SHOUTING and can cause offence.
Choose one place to post each of your unique comments. Don't cut and paste the same comment into lots of different places on the website. These may be considered duplicates and could be removed.
Don't be a "troll". Trolls intentionally incite annoyance or offense. They do not participate constructively in the discussion and do not add any value to the debate.
Don't bully, harass or threaten other participants. If another participant proffers an opinion that you don't agree with, you have no right to demand that they support their position with a detailed argument. They do not have to respond to your questions. It is up to each individual to participate as much or as little as they wish.
Please respect the moderators. Their job is to keep the forum safe and constructive so that everybody gets to have their fair say. It is not always an easy job.
The Engagement Hub is designed for all screen sizes so you can take part using mobile devices like smart phones, tablets and laptops, as well as desktop computers.
EngagementHQ supports the current and last prior versions of the following browsers (for both desktop and mobile devices):
Microsoft Edge
Chrome
Firefox
Safari
If your browser is not up to date, we might not be able to help you troubleshoot issues.
Is your Browser up to date?
If you are on an older version of these browsers, we highly recommend you upgrade to the latest. Not only will you have a better EngagementHQ experience, but you'll also have a much better (and definitely safer!) general web experience too.
Having the latest browser is important for a number of reasons. Here's why you should try to keep your browser updated on a regular basis:
Security: this is the number one reason you should update your browsers. Each new version of the browser patches any known security holes. Microsoft Edge, one of the most widely used browsers is closely linked to Microsoft, so any security holes make it easy for hackers to access your computer files.
Web Standard Compliance: similar to security, each new browser release makes improvements to their web accessibility standards. That means on older browsers, many websites will not display properly, EngagementHQ included. Having a new browser means you will have a much better User Experience (UX). Think about how many hours you spend online?
Faster speeds: newer browsers have much faster processing and rendering speeds - which means less time you spend waiting for pages to load.
Better usability: there's a whole range of things that relate to this, but one of the big things is tabbed browsing - talk about being able to multi-browse.
More control: newer browsers give you much more control over your private data, settings, cookies, and cache actions.
